Protecting Your Baby, The Organic Way
By Jeanna Beth Graves
Are you doing everything you can to protect your baby, toddler, or young child? Of course, you buckle them in a car seat, you use a baby monitor, you feed them good food and the list goes on. But, are you doing everything you can? What about the clothes they wear? The blankets you tuck them in with? The towels you dry them off with? Would you wrap your child in a garment that had been dipped in chemicals that were initially developed for biological warfare during WW II? That is what some pesticides that are used in growing cotton were developed for.
There is an alternative. There is a way to ensure that you are doing everything you can to guarantee the safety of your little one. You can dress them, wrap them, and tuck them into materials that are manufactured from organic cotton. In today’s society we are learning more and more about health, fitness and living longer healthier happier lives. Many people are now purchasing only organic foods, and are staying away from the foods treated with the various array of chemicals and poisons that have been proven to harm us. Along with the knowledge of how the chemicals in the foods we ingest affect our health, we are learning more about the clothing we wear and the materials we surround ourselves with.
Babies are at an even greater risk. Their skin is thinner and more porous than adults. Think about how sensitive a child’s skin is to the sun. What do we do to avoid them becoming sunburned? We keep them covered and completely coat them in sunscreen. Now think about the clothes that you are dressing your baby in? There is no protection for the skin from the chemicals in the clothes they are wearing. There is no “pesticide screen” to put on them. There are however, clothes that are manufactured and Certified Organic.
Certified Organic is a title that is given to an item only when strict guidelines, made by The National Organic Standards Board, are met. Every step in the production of the item must be cleared as meeting the guidelines, from the soil where the item is grown to the processing facilities in which it is created.
At Organic Clothes for Baby we work only with vendors who market clothes that are Certified Organic. Not only are these clothes more comfortable, durable and in my opinion more adorable. They are a safer alternative for your little one. So, are you doing everything you can to protect your baby, toddler, or young child? Visit us at http://www.organicclothesforbaby.com and let us help you get started now.

By Amy Welder
In order for babies to feel their best, organic baby products are the way to go in order to keep their skin soft and supple. In order to make sure that they are squeaky clean, you can use organic baby soap. This organic baby product contains aloe vera, yarrow and calendula. Aloe vera comes from the aloe plant and works to heal and keep the skin moist.
Yarrow is a plant that acts as a therapeutic ingredient. It can also be used to get rid of excel oil from your skin. Calendula is a topical ingredient that is used on the skin. It is anti-inflammatory and is also anti-irritant. So with this ingredient being in organic baby products will help their skin to be free from rashes and other skin irritations. With these combination ingredients, your baby’s skin is guaranteed to be soft and protected from any of the harsh materials or elements that may make contact with their skin.
The soap also contains olive oil that is cold pressed and contains castor oil. Organic baby products such as these are a must have for those mothers who want nothing but the best for their baby. When using products that are not organic, mothers run the risk of introducing their child to harmful and abrasive ingredients that can eventually mess with their skin. If the baby of the mother has sensitive skin, then this soap will be an asset for their needs.
Other organic baby products that mothers can use are bamboo soap and lavender balm. It’s so easy to use on your baby. All you need is water and you’re all set. The soap is made from organic olive oil. It also contains wild yarrow and beeswax. In order to keep it fresh and sweet smelling, lavender and sweet orange oils are added to the mix, along with tapioca and Vitamin E. The organic balm is used on babies to heal their skin from irritation, dry or flaky skin and other related skin irritations.
All of these products are eco-friendly, so there’s no need to be concerned about the effect that these organic baby products will have on babies. In fact, mothers will want to keep these around all the time in order to ensure that their child gets the best skin care treatment possible.
